ERP

I've been taking care of ERP systems and the full panoply of modules since 2013, including sales, purchasing, logistics and material management, QA, DMS, partly also in the area of finance, HR, customs, service and contract management. And interfaces, of course. All of that for four countries in Europe and Northern America.

Mobile

Administration and support of mobile business apps as well as Mobile Device Management

Banking

Integration and automation of electronic payment transactions using the most recent ISO20022 and SEPA standards. XML files in pain format are generated by the ERP, automatically PGP encrypted, and then securely transmitted directly to the bank via an SFTP connection - statements in camt format are returned.

Financial Performance

Implentation and maintenance of the Financial Performance Management system LucaNet which pulls every single posting line from the ERP and makes it easy to evaluate. Today the tool is used for the consolidation of five different entities and the reporting to the NASDAQ-listed parent company according to US-GAAP standards.

Compliance & Risk

Denied party screening with AEB ASSIST4 Compliance & Risk Management in six countries. Directly tethered to the ERP.

Expense Management

Introduced the travel expense software SAP Concur in three countries. The ERP runs reimbursements.

For SAP Concur, we are now serving as a reference customer. In collaboration, both a written and a video case study were created.

What I do

2016 - 2022

In the role of Senior ERP Administrator, I coordinate the further development of the validated group ERP system for four locations in collaboration with qualified key users from the specialist departments. The focus often lies on questions of material and production planning. In addition, seamless serial number tracking in the sense of a fully comprehensive device file is essential for the medical device manufacturer. Numerous interfaces to other systems (CRM, controlling, banking, etc.) are also part of my job.

As an ERP application specialist I support round about 185 users in five countries remotely but also on-site with their work in business software. Apart from process related questions and optimizations, I take care of the documentation and integration of third-party software. Within just a couple of months I successfully conducted projects on denied party screening, financial performance mangement, travel expenses, and banking including ERP interfaces. Most recently, a five-country ERP upgrade project was on the agenda. In parallel, a new integration tool was implemented and a new version of the shipping software was introduced.

2012 - 2016

Before switching to the customer's side, I was able to gain insight into many companies out of all kinds of industries as a consultant and project manager for a medium-sized ERP supplier from Karlsruhe. I both designed and coded customizations to the system.

2009 - 2012

I graduated in Economics at the University of Mannheim (B. Sc.).

How I wound up in the IT sector eventually? Business software combines economical thinking and the comprehension of broad relationships with my personal interest in technology and modern software.
